The current conditions component sharply declined to 21.4, following a previous value of 61.5 in February. Panel members reported a more negative outlook, with only 7 percent indicating that current conditions were "better," down from 38 percent last month. Nearly two thirds of respondents, 64 percent, felt conditions were "worse," while 29 percent considered them "unchanged." Read more

The President of NAILD reached out—non-profit to non-profit—to open a conversation about how these programs support sustainability and what they mean for lighting distributors. You’ve seen Dr. Motta on Restoring Darkness now he’s on Get a Grip on Lighting to tell you about the hazards of blue-rich LED’s. No matter how some might push back, the evidence is irrefutable: blue light LED’s suppress melatonin which can lead to cancer. When Dr. Motta’s and the American Medical Association’s report was released in 2016, the Lighting Deep State was “not polite” in their rebuttal. But it seems they have come around in recent years. The AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index (ABI) continues to weaken posting a score of 45.5 for February, indicating that a majority of firms are still experiencing declining firm billings. For the first time since the peak of the pandemic in 2020, February saw a drop in inquiries for new projects, typically a steady indicator of potential opportunities even during economic slowdowns.
